Ryder's Sensing seems to be based around habit rather than around improvisation and fresh experiences (Si over Se). She continually returns to the same island to collect shells, has a well-formed idea of the market value of each, and has memorized all the good hiding spots, all in addition to the most important point: her daily study of the encyclopedia (in alphabetical order!), which seems like something an ISFP would detest.
